Tests aerobic capacity and movement economy. Shows how efficiently you sustain effort over distance or time.
10. Aerobic Power Intervals (API)
Tests high-output aerobic performance. Measures your ability to repeatedly produce strong efforts with short recovery while staying aerobic.

LM Individual is a functional fitness program powered by your personal MAP — a calibrated profile of your actual ability. You get simple daily workouts, individualized scaling, assessment tracking, and optional custom pathways, all designed for independent training with minimal friction.

How does Level Method Individual differ from traditional gym programs?

LM Individual gives you the freedom to train anywhere while still receiving structured, calibrated functional fitness. You get two tracks:

  • Full Equipment Track — similar to gym programming, assumes access to barbells and standard equipment.
  • Minimal Equipment Track — dumbbells, kettlebells, and bodyweight focus.

The system automatically adjusts difficulty based on your MAP using levels considerations, giving you self-directed, coach-level personalization without needing a live coach.

How does LM Individual differ from Level Method Gym Programming?

Both use the same core philosophy and workout structure, but LM Individual uses a 10-category Individual MAP calibrated specifically for independent training. You still get two tracks (full equipment + kb/minimal), but scaling and progression now come from your personal MAP rather than the 15-category gym version.

What equipment do I need?

You can start with as little as a kb or db in our minimal equipment track. Full equipment includes what you'd find in a well outfitted garage gym:

  • barbell + plates
  • medicine balls
  • rings
  • sandbag
  • bike or rower

You choose the track that fits your setup.

Who can join Level Method Individual?

Anyone who wants a structured, measurable fitness path can join — beginners, experienced athletes, postpartum parents, older adults, and anyone training outside a gym environment. If you want progression without guesswork, LM Individual fits.

How do I access the workouts?

Workouts are delivered through Chalk It Pro (CHIP). You log in through the app or desktop to view:

  • daily programming
  • movement videos
  • warm-ups

  • and your "My Levels" dashboard

How do I pick the right workout version?

Your MAP does this automatically. When you view a workout in Chalk It Pro, you'll see Level Considerations (e.g., LM Upper Body Push — ORANGE). These colors correspond to your MAP levels, telling you exactly which version to perform.

If you're brand new and don't have levels yet, you can start at a conservative level and quickly dial it in.

Yes. We can migrate your previous scores directly into LM Individual so your MAP is accurate from day one.

How do I assess and update my levels?

You can print or use your digital MAP, run the assessments on your own, and submit levels anytime. You'll submit your scores, we'll approve them, and your levels will update!

Do I need a Custom MAP?

No. The default 10-category MAP works for most people. A Custom MAP simply gives you a more targeted path if you want deeper personalization.
